Few suggestions for IT professionals about personal life...!!!
Very good article..!! Do read and please keep it in mind!!!!
In the wake of two shocking incidents that took place in Bangalore and Hyderabad, couples committing suicide because of extra-marital affairs with their colleagues, I just thought of writing a small article on how to avoid such incidents. This is really a serious matter and if not dealt on at an early stage could lead to such incidents in our personal life too. I have done research on human behavior and psychology and am trying to put-in some text which may (or may not) be helpful to you. Never-the-less I feel it's worth knowing such things and if possible every individual can make a conscious effort to more or less follow the same.
Some people don't take advice but taking good advice may do you no harm. Thos who are not married this is the best article as before starting a new relationship if you are ready for it, will only help you to lead a happy life.Read on..
We spend 40/45/50/60 hours a week with our colleagues. This is the most we spend with any members of our family. So it's obvious they are an integral part of our life. Good, understood. But an important point to remember is colleagues are colleagues and not friends and if you think they are friends then you are highly mistaken. Imagine working together for 9 hours a day together and then returning home and continuing to talk with your colleague on phone. This is what happened with that Infosys guy who could not stand this behavior of his wife and killed her and committed suicide. Which husband would like his wife talking on phone with her colleague and that too male counterpart? Or which wife will like her husband doing the same? Just keep yourself in that situation and see. Anger will creep in within you.
So whatever gossip or topic you want to discuss with your colleagues do it during office hours and once you are out of office forget about your work and your colleagues unless it's official matter.Just check this unnecessary talk… A guy and her colleague walking out of office at 6.30p.m. At 7.30 or 8.00 the guy calls that female, Guy: Hi, how are you? Where have you reached? (Don't you know how she is and where she must be at this time) Lady: I am fine. Reached home. Guy: What are you cooking today? Lady: So and so (Now here the lady knows that the guy has called to flirt with her and the call is unnecessary. It's the duty of the female to say something to avoid that guy. If she doesn't at this stage then this call will be going for another 30-45 mins and questions like 'When will you be taking bath? What time you will sleep? What will you bring for me for breakfast for tomorrow will creep in?' and imagine the state of the family members of that lady at this point.
They expect the lady to come and talk with them for sometime but here this lady is enjoying a talk with the guy with whom she has been working since morning. No wonder such people will have a horrendous married life.
A simple thing to think about. Say you are not married. You go to office and come back say at 6.00 in the evening. You have so much of time left. Can't you read some books and increase your knowledge rather than spending one-two hours on mobile. Girls can start experimenting with new dishes. Main thing to understand is such gossiping on calls becomes on habit and bad habits die-hard. You will be addicted to talking and this can be bad as time goes on. One you start working you have to come out of college life. In college you could enjoy, flirt, do anything you wanted. But this is real life. Be responsible or else you will be responsible for your terrible life and the life if your husband/wife.
Any person no matter who he/she is would never like his/her wife/husband having such relationship with her/his colleagues. Last year 90% of divorce happened because of Extra-Marital Affairsand in that 80% because of relationships with colleagues. And we would not like this to happen with us. So start from now.Guys see to it that you don't put an habit of calling you female-colleagues after office hours or on weekends or holidays, even if they provoke you or give missed calls. Let them spend time with their family members or other friends. You also do the same. Good girls don't give missed calls. And girls who give I need not say what kind of girls they are. Stay away from them. You can talk as much as you want in office. And gals, if any guy calls you then it's not bad to say'No, Let's talk in office' or 'I am busy, talk with you tomorrow'to that guy. Do it twice and they will automatically stop calling. Guys have this habit of flirting and you allowing them to flirt will only help them do more. Relationships can always be maintained in right manner. Never succumb to emotional pressurelike 'You don't want to talk with me or what' or 'You can call him but you can't call me' or 'You talk for so and so time with her but with me only this much'. Some people fall for this because they don't want to lose a friend. Again I say colleague is not a friend. They are just here to work and keep on moving in their life. They go to other company, go for growth and so on. They will not wait for you in the same office to be with you forever. So don't be emotionally attached with your colleagues. They are competitors and always on their toes to show you down in front of seniors and managers. You may not realize now but this is a fact, be ready for it.Imagine a girl getting married and someone says to her to be husband, that guy over there is the one who regularly calls your wife or your wife gives missed calls or calls that guy. Always this thing will remain on the back of his mind. Similarly someone tells the bride that your groom always keeps calling that girl or vice-versa…. Imagine yourself at that place. Situations arise because we allow them to. No one can lead ideal life but we can always make an sincere effort to lead one.
Another note to be taken about: (strictly male to female and female to male contexts) If your colleague calls you. Just check out whether if he calls others also. If he doesn't then find out why? No guy will call other girl if he is not interested in that girl. In a group there can be five females but it's not necessary that a guy calls all five. He will only call the one on whom he is interested.Similarly, a girl will not give missed call to everyone. If she gives then she must be really lonely. Stay away from them or you will be caught in their loving talk. Guys normally fall for girls because of their beauty or their talk. So if a guy colleague comes to you and proposes you then it's not his mistake completely, it's more of yours because you were the one who used to give him that space.
Also you become a topic of gossip among your fellow colleagues if they come to know that one of their colleague is calling you and not calling others. And there is nothing more dangerous than office gossip. It can cost you your job and just remember how easily you got this job.
So please keep your office and it's people at office and lead a normal happy life. For your good and for the good of your spouse...

Self Confidence...
There can be a variety of different reasons why your self confidence may be hurt. Your circumstance may be that you have had a hard marriage and are now headed for divorce court. Or perhaps you did not make the college football team or may have even been laid off work. Undoubtedly, there is a lot of pain associated with any of these situations. However, you don't have to suffer. You can simply choose to resolve or rise above the problem and get back your confidence.
The following are some ways that can help rebuild your self confidence.
Look at the bright side of things.
If you have lost your job, give yourself permission to feel bad for a day or two. However, longer than that is not acceptable. Yes, losing a job is a horrible thing, but it is not the end of the world. In reality, losing your job may be a blessing in disguise. Time away from work may allow you to take a closer look at your life. You can take the time to review your likes and dislikes, as well as your hobbies. This may give you the opportunity to choose a new path in life, one that is more in sync with your aptitude and abilities. Similarly, a divorce may cause you a great deal of pain upfront. However, chances are you were not happy in your marriage. Now, you can begin to rebuild your life and live it the way you want to.
Don't compare yourself to others
Whenever a problem arises, we often ask God "Why me?" Chances are, God has given you quite a few rewards in your life. When you received the rewards did you ask God "Why me?" This is simply what human nature is all about. We often complain and only seek God when we are in trouble. It is important that you do not look at other people who may appear comfortable and happy from a distance. Stop comparing your suffering with their comfort. This will only make matters worse. Instead, try focusing the attention on yourself. Make a genuine effort to get out whenever you are feeling down.
Self pity can be very addicting and in turn, destroy lives. Instead of giving into self pity (although we all do this from time to time), take back control of your life. Own up to your actions and learn from any mistakes you have made. This will help you to obtain a fresh start. Don't let a "NO" get you down. A "NO" is something that everyone, including people like Thomas Edison and Henry Ford has had to face. If you look at it in the right light, you can see that a "NO" is actually just a step closer to a "YES". Reports show that before Edison was successful in producing an electric bulb, he conducted more than a thousand experiments that all failed. Therefore, take the "NO" in stride and keep going.
Are you keeping yourself from moving on?
Shadows form when we stand directly in the path of sunshine. In our lives, we too can cause shadows by standing directly in the way of our own happiness. In today's society, it is extremely important that we remain flexible. People will often search for months for the perfect job, while allowing others to slip away, simply because they are not willing to adapt to some new job skills. Jane, who was laid off from her job as a teacher, tried for several months to obtain another teaching job.
All the while, she was turning down jobs to work as a freelance copy-editor, a nanny position and even private tutoring positions. The extremely long wait took a further toll on her self confidence. Sometimes it is wise to be flexible and try to adapt to another job, rather than trying to find the perfect replacement. This will help to rebuild confidence, which can eventually lead to a better job, in the field of your choice.

Trip to Shivana Samudra on 8th June 2008
The pickup started from HAL (Laticiya & Savio) -->Ulsoor (Bharathi) --> ISKON (Atanu) --> Vijayanagar (Saritha, Ram, Kiran & Jagadeesh) --> Maruthi Mandir (Vimal) --> Deepanjalinagar (Shankar).
We started from Deepanjalinagar at around 7.30 AM. The breakfast was ready with us which we bought from Mallige Idli Factory. We stopped near a very small water stream for breakfast. I found 2 big rock-like stones, which was selected as the breakfast table. We had stomach-full of breakfast and started from there.
The journey was full of colors since Vimal, Savio were with us & Ram of course who is the born-imitator… and most surprisingly, the timely, funny comments from Shankar – very fast now, compared to his earlier appearance in Jetking which we all knew very well. Some hilarious conversations between Ram – Bharathi and Vimal – Savio, added joy to the continuation of the trip.
We reached Gagana-chukki at around 10.50 AM as planned. After a small photo-session we were attracted by the stunning beauty of the water falls in the center of super-cool nature. We had chance to glance at the SHIMSHA Power Project. While returning to the TT, someone bought the yummy yummy mango-pieces with salt & mixed chilly powder. It simply reminded us our childhood passions…
We got down through the steps very carefully because missing a single step could take us directly to the end (in fact, Bharathi & Saritha were very careful). We found decent number of people there and monkeys as well.
It was lunch-time for us at 12.55 PM. Monkeys were threatening some of us for food. Since Shankar & Vimal were with us, we did not have any fear…!!! After finishing lunch, we headed towards one of the water streams. Savio lead us who carried my camera in his bag. I was wondering, seeing Savio moving front without even changing his dress.
Myself, Jagadeesh and Atanu got into the water stream first; others followed us. There was a pair who were already enjoying in that stream. We did not disturb them; silently captured 2-3 snaps & started playing in the water. The force was less in the beginning & the rocks were slippery. Standing & walking on those rocks was really tough. It was a nice package of full fun. Some people enjoyed the water, some people enjoyed seeing the slipping legs, some others with good eyes and few of them enjoyed holding hands of people who were about to slip down by loosing the grip… ( everyone recollects Ram’s face here..humanity… hahaha…!!!).
This enjoyment lasted when lot of people started flowing in towards that stream… we came out from there; Savio was fully shivering (even his little LANGOTI…hehe). Saritha was afraid to take help from him to get down from the slippery rock, as he was totally shivering…like the Goods-Auto engine…!!!
Now, we (Myself, Jagadeesh & the shivering Savio) started climbing up the rocks, to reach the upper stream of Bhara-chukki. The height of Bhara-chukki is just 60m. We could reach almost 30m. and were searching for our friends so that they can click our snaps at that height; but, the camera was nicely sleeping in a bag & our friends were sitting on some small rocks & were playing in the water. We found a guy with camera there & asked him to capture our snap. We gave him our Mail ID & asked to forward that snap (did not recieve that snap yet...).
We got down & started playing in the water again; this time, it was the time to throw water to each other’s face. Bharathi got a stone for preparing the special “Chandanam”-thick fluid of Sandalwood, which is used as the natural facial cream. But Shankar was in search of big stones. He was lifting stones of unusual sizes (better to say – stones of his size…). He fell 6 times in total; many of us defined various reasons for his down-fall. But, he knows the actual strategy…!!!
We were out of the water by 3.50 PM and started to climb up the steps. A light drizzle amused us with its tender drops. Leaving the site was a kind of slight pain deep in the heart. The beauty of nature, the softness of the weather and the comfort of greenery were driving us back to the memory lane which we passed from the morning…
The eminent element of our trip was the yummy & hot fish-fry which we ate with Pulav, near the Durgah. The rain was strong by now; it did not harm us as we were already in the TT. Travelling back to Bangalore with loads of memories was an unforgettable, evergreen moment. Many of us kept discussing about the olden days, the earlier trips and some personal matters as well. Some of us were sleeping. First drop of the evening was Shankar at 7.40 PM. Everyone reached home safely within 9 PM (decent time, isn’t it??). I had my dinner within 9 PM & called everyone to check whether they reached home safely. The result was positive.
“At the end of the day, we all felt pretty much comfortable and relaxed. Our motto was - going out and just enjoy the day, enjoy the company of old buddies and try to throw away all the depression of busy life in Bangalore. Our expectations weren't very high, and they shouldn't be; We were fully satisfied with the travel, food, enjoyment, company, timings and so on…” The guys who missed this trip, really missed a enormous amount of memories, which they never can fill in with any other precious data…in so called hard disk of their hearts…!!! You really missed it guys…
with Lotz of LuV, Kiran...
